"This photo was taken by a bus driver outside Redditch, Worcestershire in England a few years ago.  He captured - as he says by sheer chance - one of the caravan communities that still travel about that general district. The photographer, Carver Doone, knows a woman in the area who sold her house, packed up what belongings she needed, and moved in with them, so taken was she with the lifestyle."

"To see that the partnership and companionship between travellers and their horses remains a reality in their old haunts is both refreshing and moving. I have missed seeing them on the roadsides and byways in Ireland these few decades, and am delighted to see the travelling lifestyle holds its power and remains intact, in this part of England...and maybe elsewhere."
